Market Update – May 2017 | Placentia and Fullerton Mortgage
As a mortgage broker in Placentia who serves clients throughout Orange County, I am always tracking local mortgage news and real estate market trends in the area.
In March of 2017, the average price of homes that were sold in Orange County was reported at $760,000. This figure is up 2.0% from the month before and 5.5% from March of 2016.
According to a reputable real estate website, if you take a deeper look into Orange County to focus more specifically at Placentia and Fullerton, you will find that both areas have median listing prices under the average for the county.
Placentia’s most recent median listing price was reported at $628,000 and Fullerton’s was $644,000.
The slight increase in prices across Orange County has not slowed buyers as we head into the warmer months of the year. There was a 7.3% increase in sales year over year for the month of March, but that’s not all.
Between February and March 2017, there was a substantial 48.2% jump in the total number of sales in Orange County. Even heading into the summer, that is a significant jump and we are interested to see what will have resulted from such a large leap.
